Okay, we’ve done Who, What, and Where…
now it’s time for WHEN.
It’s 6:30 to 9:30 pm on a day where they’ll be doing a little partying down in New Orleans too, also known as the Fat Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. That would be a week from today.
I guess that also hints at HOW…
…let’s just say with great spirit.
…to the cold weather. Get out and enjoy another exciting weekend in Northfield.
Friday and Saturday nights, it’s Eat Your Heart Out at the Grand Event Center. We’re talkin’ dinner theater, with d’oeuvers, dinner, dessert and a comedy, right here in Northfield, produced by the Northfield Arts Guild.
Also appearing downtown are Kim Bloom at the Hideaway, Last Known Whereabouts at the Cow and Just Us at the Tavern. Up on the hills, on Friday and Saturday, its The Persians at the Kelsey Theatre on the St. Olaf College campus, and Lovesong of the Electric Bear at the Arena Theater and The Carleton Jazz Ensemble at the Concert Hall on the Carleton College campus.
Saturday night it’s Kim Bloom at the Hideaway, Jud’s New Harmony at the Contented Cow, Kevin Stanke at the Tavern and an Air Guitar Competition at Froggy Bottoms. The Vagina Monologues opens at Carleton (Concert Hall) and Ceramics Today opens at the Flaten Art Museum at St. Olaf.
So, there’s no excuse for cabin fever here in Northfield…and you don’t even have to go swimming with the polar bears for excitement.
Let’s see…Who, What, Where, When, How…
…okay, WHO would be “anyone and everyone who is in business in Northfield”…
…and WHAT would be “a party”.
…so, the next clue should be about the WHERE…
…here goes:
The party will be held in a space (featuring appetizers also) donated by one of the co-founders of a Taste of Northfield.
Griff Wigley has posted an entry on Locally Grown hinting at a party in Downtown Northfield. According to an incomplete document that is rumored to have come from the party organizers, “It is for anyone and everyone who is in business in Northfield.”
I know a little bit about this alleged party. I’ll toss in a hint or two too. One of the suspected organizers is pictured in the lower left hand corner of this photo. Yeah, I realize, that image doesn’t help much, she’s turned away from the camera and the lighting is low. However, I recently posted a blog entry about her too.
Y’all know that I love maps. Maybe Jim Bohnhoff could hastily assemble a treasure map guiding would-be party-goers to the site…in Downtown Northfield.
