Join the NDDC in their Annual Celebration

NDDCDowntownCelebrationOn Saturday, January 23rd, from 6 to 10 p.m., the NDDC will hold its Annual Partnership Celebration at the Grand Event Center, 316 Washington Street, in historic, scenic, authentic downtown Northfield.  It’s also the organization’s tenth birthday party.

The event (which is free and open to the public) features four local bands, performing original material: Scandium, Meredith Fierke, Matt Arthur & the Bratlanders, and TV & the Bellered Yellers.  The NDDC recognizes and celebrates this wealth of local artistic talent. (more…)

Big Weekend for Art Openings

Thursday, January 7th, Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Becky Jokela and Douglas House – Landscape Paintings, 7 to 9 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild, Norwegian Cowboy, 8 to 11 p.m., The Tavern Lounge, Faculty Recital: Marty Hodel (Trumpet) and Christopher Atzinger (piano), Urness Hall on the St. Olaf College campus, and Karaoke, 9:30 p.m., at Froggy Bottoms. NDDC Receives Feedback from Stakeholders

PresidentCoveyPresentsNDDC President Keith Covey and Executive Director Ross Currier discussed the organization’s recent planning process and presented the resulting Work Plan for 2010 at yesterday’s Forum.  Over a dozen hardy stakeholders braved the cold to provide their honest feedback and additional thoughts to the NDDC Board Members.
