The Best of Northfield? Downtown!

Perhaps that’s a bit of a sweeping statement.  However, downtown did do quite well in the recent Northfield Entertainment Guide‘s “Northfield’s Best of 2009“.

Downtown Northfield was the winner of two categories, “Best Visitor Attraction” and “Best Place for People Watching”.  The NDDC’s “Be Local” promotion was also tied for second in the category of “Best Advertising Campaign”. (more…)

Tips for Frolicking Locally

The NDDC’s brilliantly creative Events & Marketing Committee has ambitious, might I even suggest, artistic aims for the “Be Local” campaign in 2010.  For February, known for Presidents’ Day, at least recently, Snow Days, but most vigorously, Valentine’s Day, they coined “Be Local…Frolic Local“. Catching Up with the NDDC Communication Committee

One of the NDDC’s standing work groups is the Communication Committee.  The group takes responsibility for staying connected with downtown stakeholders and for quite some time has consisted of Dan Bergeson from Carleton College, Greg Kneser from St. Olaf College, and Mark Quinnell from State Farm Insurance.
