Minnesota’s Honky Tonk Heroes at The Grand

Minnesota’s premiere honky-tonk band, TRAILER TRASH, will perform live in concert on Friday, February 11 at The Grand Event Center in historic downtown Northfield. Presented by the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation (NDDC) and the Northfield Rotary Club, the event is open to the public. Admission is $10 at the door.

Doors open at 7:45 p.m. with a swing-style dance lesson and demonstration presented by the Carleton College swing-dance club, The Rugcutters, at 8 p.m. TRAILER TRASH takes to the stage at 8:30 p.m. (more…)

NDDC Joins Chamber for February Forum

Instead of the standard “second Tuesday at the Archer House” monthly Forum, the NDDC is joining the Chamber for a Northfield Area Business Forum on Friday, February 4th, 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at Community Resource Bank Uptown (1605 Heritage Drive).

The guests will be State Senator Al DeKruif and State Representative Kelby Woodard.  The legislators will provide updates and comments, but they also want to hear from local business owners, employers, and property owners.  The topics will include: (more…)

NDDC and Rotary Celebrate Our Community at The Grand

The Northfield Downtown Development Corporation (NDDC) and the Northfield Rotary are inviting all of Northfield to come downtown and celebrate our community on Friday, February 11th, at the Grand Event Center, 316 Washington Street in Northfield, Minnesota.

The theme is “We (Heart) Northfield”.  We (Heart) our authentic downtown, our historic architecture, our wild and scenic river, our quality businesses and cultural institutions, and our fine schools and medical facilities.  The list could go on…and will go on, at our upcoming event at the Grand. No Downtown Forum for December

There will be no Downtown Forum on Tuesday, December 7th.

Instead, members of the NDDC Board of Directors will be visiting downtown shops and restaurants throughout the day.

By the way, have we mentioned that Thursday, December 9th, is Winter Walk?
