Shakespeare in the Park is Way Cool

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Midsummer3Shakespeare in the Park is one of my all-time favorite Northfield cultural events, especially if Norman Butler has a role in it. One year they had a play by some french guy;  I’m glad they’ve gone back to the British Bard with a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Living the Artist’s Life in Northfield

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

BarbMatzArtistThe NDDC’s special ArtSwirl edition of the Downtown Forum is titled “Living the Artist’s Life in Northfield”.  It features a panel of four local artists discussing their experiences working in our community.

Barb Matz, Jennifer Wolcott, Nick Sinclair, and Shari Setchell will discuss their art, why they located in Northfield, how the Northfield community is supportive of artists, and what the community might do to provide greater support for artists.  Some people have suggested that it is a conversation that is long overdue.

The NDDC Forum will be held Tuesday, August 11th, 8 a.m., in the Riverview Conference Room of the historic Archer House, 212 Division Street.  As always, the Forum is free and open to the public.

Coffee and cookies will be served.
