NO Downtown Forum August 4th, YES Downtown Forum August 11th

BarbMatz_CorneredThere will be NOT be an NDDC Downtown Forum on Tuesday, August 4th.  There WILL be an NDDC Downtown Forum on Tuesday, August 11th.

The Forum has been bumped from the first Tuesday to the second Tuesday for a better link to the Sixth Annual ArtSwirl.  For additional information, see the ArtSwirl website.

On Tuesday, August 11th, there will be a Downtown Forum featuring a panel of four local artists discussing “Living the Artist’s Life in Northfield”.  Watch for more details, coming soon.

there’s still things happening in Downtown Northfield, Thursday, July 23rd, including an art opening for Lindsay Halleckson, 7 to 9 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild and Lonesome Dan Kase, 8 to 11 p.m., Tavern Lounge, riverside of the Archer House. (more…)

Hometown Fourth Celebration this Weekend

HometownFourth_GriffWigleyThis weekend is, of course, the Fourth of July.  It’s a recognition  of the day on which the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress.  It all started when the government imposed taxes on the commercial taxpayers which were viewed as excessive and unjust.

At any rate, on Friday, July 3rd, Carey Langer is at The Contented Cow, Norwegian Cowboy is at The Tavern Lounge (riverside of The Archer House), and Karaoke is at The Rueb’N'Stein. (more…)
